Olds Cutlass Supreme Brake Lights Q. Dear Vincent, I have a problem with my 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. Recently my lateral brake lights went out. The upper small brake light in the rear window still works though. Both my turn signals work. When I turn on the lights the rear lamps work, the turn signals work, and the upper brake light still works. There seems to be no situation where my lateral brake lights work. I have inspected all the bulbs and they seem intact. Help! Ed

A. You need to start checking voltage at the rear sockets and work your way forward until you locate the problem. Maybe there is a relay? Do the 4 way flashers work? Sometimes the contacts on the 4 way switch get dirty and keep current from flowing.
