Honda Accord Speakers

Q. Dear Mr. Vincent Ciulla, I drive a 1990 Honda Accord LX and I have two questions to ask you. I recently bought speakers to replace the front door one's which were burnt out before I got the car. I would like to know how I can attempt to replace them.

Secondly, I would also like to know where the fuse for the cigarette lighter is in the car? The cigarette lighter doesn't work and I've checked all the fuses, I think it might be the relay but I don't even know where to look for it.

Thank You very much for your time,
Brayan

A. The front door speakers are fairly easy to replace. All you need to do is remove the door panels and the speakers are simply held in by four screws. Unplug the speaker, remove the screws and pop in the new one.

Power for the cigarette lighter comes from fuse 22, 15 amp,and goes directly to the cigarette lighter. It is probably a bad lighter element. You can use a test light to see if there is power in contact at the bottom of the cigar lighter receiver. If there is the lighter element is burnt out and needs to be replaced.
