Dodge Shadow Loose Vacuum Line
Q. My son has a 1989 Dodge Shadow 2.2 liter. A hose that looks to be a vacuum line that comes out of the fire wall next to the heater hoses is about 12" long with a little metal 90° elbow is hanging free. Where is this supposed to connect to? It idles fast when first started and doesn't idle down.

SteveA. That is the vacuum line that supplies vacuum to the HVAC system. It connects near the brake vacuum booster. If you look around in that area you will see the nipple it attaches to, or maybe a broken line.
