Monte Carlo Dies In A Puddle

Q. I have a 1995 Chevy Monte Carlo. Automatic, about 65,000 miles. Not sure of engine size. My problem is that after you go through puddles it won't start after you turn it off. It runs fine other than that. After I shut it off after it gets wet it won't start for about three days. Please help!

A. Sounds like the plug wires could be old and letting moisture inside them causing them to short to ground. If you open hood at night with it running, try spritzing some water on the plug wires. You may be surprised to "see" the spark jumping all over the place!
