Ford F-150 DTC P0102
Q. I have a 2001 Ford F-150, 4.6 liter engine and automatic transmission. My Check Engine Light came on, at that time I went and got the device to give me the code to tell me what was wrong and it came up with P0102. It says this is a Mass Air Flow circuit low input. I do have a K&N charger kit on my truck.
I was wondering if this was the cause and how I can fix it. I also do have the jet chip in it, but I took it out when I checked for the code. I put it back in when I was done with that test, and light came back on a few days later.

A. Since aftermarket engine accessories and "Upgrade" parts, such as the K&N air filter, can effect engine diagnostics, the best thing to do is return the stock items to the engine and recheck for codes.

One place to look for air leaks is the large, flexible hose going to the intake manifold from the MAF. They develop cracks in the valleys that are difficult to see and are often overlooked.
And since this is a Ford MAF, I would suggest giving it a cleaning and see if that helps.
Here's a good tip on how to clean it. Ford Expedition P0171 & P0174 and Ford Mass Air Flow Sensors. It would be a good first thing to check.
