F-150 Check Engine Light
Q. I have a 1985 Ford F150 and suddenly the "check engine light" is staying on. The truck is running fine, but this is making me paranoid. Every time I take it to the repair shop, they fix the problem, but shortly thereafter, another one pops up. I'm starting to distrust them. Any suggestions as to why this light remains on?

A. There are a number of reasons why the Check Engine Light will come on. What you need to do is access the codes in the computer to see what they are. Once we know the codes, we can figure out what to do to correct the problem.
