Ford Taurus Fuel Pump

Q. Hi Vince, I have a 1988 Ford Taurus and would like to know where the fuel pump is and or relay and if I could replace the in the tank version with a inline pump.

Thanks,
Dave

A. Well, the fuel pump is inside the gas tank. The Fuel Pump Relay is located inside of the Integrated Relay Control Module (IRCM) above the cooling fan inside the radiator support.

Yes, it is possible to put an inline fuel pump in as long as it has the same ratings as the one it has now.
