Rover Rolled Over

Q. My 1993 pickup truck was recently involved in a crash that resulted in the truck being turned over onto its side. (drivers side). The impact was to the bed of the truck on the passenger side. No damage was done to the engine compartment. Fortunately, their were no injuries.

Rover Rolled Over

The problem is, ever since this accident, the truck makes a rumbling noise and vibrates when started and at idle, it doesn't seem to be as noticeable when actually driving the truck. I can't find anything wrong in the exhaust. Is their something I could check, something that is a common mechanical problem after a car rolls over?

Thanks,
Mark

A. Can you hear it or do you feel it? Try letting it idle and crawl under there. Put park brake on and block the wheels!! Try feeling your way around. You should be able to isolate it by feeling around and touching things. You can also use a long screwdriver like a stethoscope to find if something is "grounding" out on the frame or exhaust.
