Chevy Venture Cylinder Misfires
Q. Hi Vince, I have a 1998 Chevy Venture with a 3.4 liter V-6. Van has been great. The other day my wife start it up and it was missing. She drove it home and I popped the hood thinking one of the coils went bad. I rev the motor a couple of time and the missing stop. Thought problem was solved. Today my wife started it up and it began to miss, I rev the motor several time and it stopped.
Could it be I have a bad coil in the coil pack or a clogged fuel injector?
A. Could be an ignition or fuel problem. You need to rule out the two. If you had a scanner, you could check which cylinder it is by looking at the misfire history counters.
