Honda Accord Sluggish And Vibrates

Q. Hi Vince, I have a 1997 Honda Accord LX, with about 75,000 miles. I'm having a few problems which I believe may have a central cause, but could be wrong. First off when the car accelerates it generally feels like there isn't much power, when it gets to around 55 to 60 mph I can feel a slight vibration/shaking.

Also if I am at a stoplight and the air conditioning is on, again it starts to vibrate, almost to the point where it feels like the car is about to die. I recently got the ignition switch changed (part of a Honda recall) and also a new air filter and spark plugs. I would appreciate it if you could give me your take on what the problem could be.

Thanks in advance,
Mihir

A. You had the spark plugs and air filter replaced, but did you get the fuel filter replaced? I partially clogged fuel filter, a gummed up throttle body, or both, could very well be the cause of your problem. It would certainly be the most logical place to start.
