Pontiac Grand Am Mirror

Q. Hi, Someone ripped the passenger side mirror off of my 1995 Pontiac Grand Am. I ordered a new one over the internet and would like to do the repair myself. Can you give me some instructions?

Thanks!
Tara

Pontiac Grand Am Mirror

A. After looking at the new mirror and making sure it's correct, you'll see how it's attached as well. Some inner door panels need to be removed and some have a small triangle shaped piece that needs to be removed. After removing the needed panel, there will be three 10mm nuts that need to be removed to get old mirror off.

This is assuming that there isn't any body work to do. A magnet comes in handy to keep the nuts from falling down inside the door. Any wires going to it need to be unplugged as well. Fairly simple project but if you haven't got the right tools for the job it can be time consuming.
