Camaro Hit In The Rear

Q. I was recently involved in an accident in which I was hit from the rear while making a right hand turn in my 1998 V-6 A/T Camaro. Since that accident the right turn signal when turned on is frozen. I replaced the bulbs that blew out in the front and the back but the turn signal is still frozen.

I checked the hazard lights, which are the same lights for the turn signal, but they only come on in the rear of the car, not the front. However when I turn the alarm on the car, all the lights, including the flasher/hazards in the front and rear, come on as they should. Recently the left turn signal is frozen when turned on and the lights that illuminate the CD controls inside the car are off even when I turn the interior lights on. I've checked the fuses, they seem to be okay. What possibly could be the problem? I rather fix the problem myself if possible.

Thanks in advance for your help.

A. When a car has been in an accident, all the rules go right out the window. As a start I would suggest replacing both the T/S flasher and four-way flasher units. They may have been damaged when you were hit.

As far as the rest of it, I would, very carefully, check the wiring harnesses in and around the impact area. It's very possible there is a harness cut or pinched that is causing all your problems. Outside of that, it's just going to take a good wiring diagram and some work to locate the problem.
