Dodge Dynasty A/C Blows Warm
Q. Hi Vince, 1992 Dodge Dynasty, 3.0 liter, automatic transmission and A/C. I thought I'd reply that I did see your response but a new problem has occurred which really has me stumped. I was prepared to do the wire checks you had indicated but I cranked the car and now the fan runs fine. I can't get it to duplicate the problem so I can do the checks.
However, now a bigger (I think) problem is now in my court. Now the fan seems to come on and go off just fine. BUT, the A/C is not cooling. It blows out hot air just fine, but no cool air. This is not an ongoing problem, it just suddenly started this. Help???

The first thing you have to do is check the refrigerant and make sure there is some in the system. 90% of the time a problem like this is caused by no refrigerant due to leakage. What you can do is unplug the Low Pressure Switch connector and jump the terminals in the connector. If the A/C compressor kicks on, then you will know for sure there is insufficient refrigerant to operate the system. If it doesn't, then there is a problem in the A/C electrical system, probably a bad A/C relay.
