Honda Accord EX Headlight Dimming

Q. My wife has a 2003 Honda Accord EX 3.0 liter V-6 with less than 8,000 miles. She has had the car for over six months, and started noticing that when driving at night, the headlights are dimming themselves. When the service area at out local Honda was approached, they said it had to due with drawing humidity out of the air compressor on the air conditioning system regardless if the system is on or not.

Honda Accord EX Headlight Dimming

I have never heard of this before, and I am wondering if this is a documented problem that is not communicated to new car buyers, or if they cannot find the problem and they are giving me bad information???

A. I'm sorry, but I don't think I understand this. If this is, indeed, what they told you, I think they either don't understand the problem or they are blowing you off.

Or perhaps you misunderstood what they told you. The A/C system has nothing to do with the headlights.

If the Dealer can't remedy the problem to your satisfaction, I suggest calling Toyota Customer Service, the number is in your owners manual, and filing a complaint and request a meeting with the Toyota Factory Representative.
