Oldsmobile Aurora: Keeper? Q. I have a 1995 Oldsmobile Aurora with over a 100,000 miles. Recently put in factory rebuilt transmission cost $2,800.00 Is it worth it to continue to repair? Would I recoup monies spent on transmission? More repairs may be needed. I love the car-but repairs are getting expensive. What is the current market resale value? Thanks...

A. It's very hard for me to say wheather a car is worth fixing and keeping. And at this point you will need to keep it long enough to recoup your $2,800.00 transmission investment. I wrote an article: How Much Is Enough? that should help you in decideing what to do with it now.
