Wheel Alignment?

Q. Hi Vincent, How are you doing? I have a simple question about wheel alignment. I have a Toyota Camry 1996 just changed two tyres and had rotation done. It drives good, smooth even at 80 mph on highway, no shaky or anything like that.

Do I still have to do an alignment? Some people say if steering wheel has no shaking when you drive the car at high speed you don't have to do alignment while others say no matter what, you need an alignment after the new tyres change. Please give me some advice.

Thank you very much. Have a good weekend,
Harry

A. I always recommend a wheel alignment whenever new tires are put on a car. It may or may not need it, but it's good insurance that the new tires will last as long as possible.

A car that needs a wheel alignment will not usually display a shacking or vibration symptom. The only symptom that will manifest itself is tire wear. Vibration in the steering wheel is usually indicative of a wheel out of balance.
