Infiniti Stereo Died

Q. I recently purchased a 1994 Infiniti J30 (6 cylinders, automatic transmission, 70,000 miles) with the factory-installed Bose stereo single CD player. It sounded great until it "died" when I turned my ignition key last week. Besides the "audio" and "speaker" fuses which I have checked, is there anything else I can check myself before taking my car to the dealership?

I have heard that the Bose stereos installed in the J30s were known to have some problems with the circuit boards.

Thank you for any information you can provide!
Leigh

A. There is one more fuse to check, however the radio will have to come out. The fuse is in the back of the radio itself. There are four screws in the radio bezel, two on the top and two on the bottom, Take the screws out and pop off the bezel. Then there are four screws holding the radio chassis in. Take the four screws out and the whole assembly will slide forward and out.
