Chrysler Grand Voyager Seized Engine?

Q. Will make this quick, I have a 1997 Chrysler Grand Voyager, 3.3 liter, UK model car. Believe the cam belt went, but discovered the car doesn't have one! Just a timing chain. The mechanics think something in the big end is gone, there is oil at the top of the motor, transmission oil is okay.

Chrysler Grand Voyager Seized Engine?

My Father in Law saw something about a year ago, he can't recall where, about Chrysler having an issue with a part failing causing the engine to seize. Can you point me in the right direction, a web link is fine Will continue searching your site, and google, to se if there is a known problem.

We are talking at present worst case, a new engine! Want to get Chrysler to pay for this, or some of it, if there is a known fault, or a vehicle recall that was not acted on.

Regards,
David
