Chevy Beretta Has A Little Engine Noise

Q. I have a 1995 Chevy Beretta 2.2 liter automatic transmission. I have a little noise coming from the engine so I had it checked out. I was told the pistons may be worn. My question is; is there anything I can do to quiet the noise or help prolong the wear of the pistons? I just got the car a few weeks ago and I can't afford that kind of repair right now.

Chevy Beretta Has A Little Engine Noise

A. You can add some "snake oil" to the engine with varying results. Chances are it's a wrist pin noise and not much will help with this noise. Get a second opinion before worrying too much about longevity of engine.
