Replacement Headlights And DRL

Q. Vincent: I have a 1995 Geo Metro. I replaced the headlights that were Sylvania Halogen Seal beam H 6545 with GE Halogen Seal Beam ( The GE Replacement for H 6545).

The problem:

The Daylight Driving feature of the headlights doesn't work with the new headlights. The lights are on low beam when driving and not the daylight driving beam. High beams work fine. The reason I changed the headlights was because moisture was inside both of the old headlights.

I appreciate your assistance in solving the problem.
Bernie

A. Normally the low beams are supposed to be on, but only at 80% intensity. What you can do is watch the headlights while someone turns the headlights on. They should brighten up. If they do, they are working normally. If they don't, then you have a bad DRL resistor or it was left unplugged.
