Chevy Astro Left Turn Signal Problems

Q. I have a 1994 Chevy Astro Van, 4.3 liter, automatic transmission, ABS, P/S and A/C. The rear passenger side turn signal bulb burnt out and I replaced it with the 2057 replacement bulb and also replaced the front turn bulb while I was doing it. The problem is the passenger side turn signals still do not flash.

Chevy Astro Left Turn Signal Problems

Front and rear turn bulbs light up when the lights are on and also when the hazard lights are turned on. The driver's side is fine. I have used two different brands of the 2057 bulbs. The only thing I can think it may be now is one of the hazard/flash units needs to be replaced. Please advise!

Thank you,
Frieda

A. A bad flasher will usually affect both sides. Make sure the bulbs are in properly. If you turn on the parking lights, do all lamps work okay? Those bulbs can only go in one way but I have seen them forced in the wrong way.

Also, you may have a bad ground to one of the sockets. You may also be a bad turn signal switch but I would look real close at the other things first.
