Ford Probe GT Coil Springs Q. Hello, I have a 1993 Ford Probe GT that has a terrible ride. I can feel every bump in the road. What I would like to know is the spring rate of my stock springs on this GT and what is the stock spring rate for an SE model Ford Probe. If they are interchangeable of course the circumference does matter? Thank you...

A. The coil springs for the 1993 Ford Probe GT and 1993 Ford Probe SE are interchangeable. They are the same spring. The only difference is the manual transmission takes a F32Z5310C spring and the automatic transmission takes a F32Z5310D spring.

I have no specifications on the spring rate. You can probably get that information at a speed shop.

I seriously doubt the problem is with the springs. It is more likely bad shocks.
