Honda Accord EX Tire Noise??

Q. I have a 1999 Honda Accord EX. I am experiencing what sounds like road noise from bad tires in the front of the car. I have replaced the tires but the noise is still there. It seemed to have started around the time I replaced the front brake pads, but I'm not sure. What else would cause this? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Stephan

Honda Accord EX Tire Noise??

A. Trying to diagnose a noise is a little tough in this venue, but if it is not the tires making the noise, I would have to guess front wheel bearings. If it is, the sound will change when doing quick lane changes and as you speed up and slow down.

If the sound is constant and changes with engine speed, then I would say it's a drive belt device, alternator, water pump etc... If it changes with vehicle speed, other than the wheel bearings, you could have a noisy transmission or something is jammed up under the vehicle.
