Ignition Bypass Effects The ABS?

Q. I am in the auto theft detection and prevention industry. We had a vehicle equipped with ABS brakes that had the ignition defeated with a screw driver. We heard a rumor that bypassing the ignition this way can cause one of the rear wheels to lock up on drive away. Is this possible? If so, how does bypassing the ignition effect the ABS system?

Thanks,
Mike

Ignition Bypass Effects The ABS?

A. This is a new one on me Mike. I never heard anything about it and none of the other guys around town haven't heard it either.

I would think that if bypassing an ignition switch, and it was an anti-theft feature, all four wheels would lock up. But as far as I know, there is no reason for the ABS system to be effected.
