Oldsmobile Delta 88 P/S Switch

Q. How to replace the Power Steering Pressure Switch on this 1989 Oldsmobile Delta 88 with a 3.8 liter, VIN "C", and automatic transmission. The switch is located just above where the pressure and return lines attach to the actuator. The connector is saturated with power steering fluid. This thing been leaking for many weeks. Just discovered the site of the leak today.

I can see it easily. Can touch it, can put tools on it and spin it 360° but haven't figured out how to remove it. My wife had some suggestions about to remove it, ouch! Comments: Just saw your site for the first time today while searching the above topic, am still exploring and reading. But who can turn down free auto repair help and advice.

Thanks in advance,
JP

A. As far as I know, they are threaded into the power steering rack. It should just unscrew. If not, I would but a new one from a dealer and look at it to see what holds it in. You're going to replace it anyway, right? If in doubt, ask a tech at the dealer what is needed to remove it.
