Acura Overheating

Q. Hello. My car overheated, 1992 Acura Legend, 3.2 liter 6 cylinder and we replaced the timing belts, head set, water, pump, thermostat, both heads, wiring, oil and coolant. The car the shop says is still overheating. They are going to check the radiator today.

Since they replaced all that stuff since I blew a head gasket, why would it still be overheating?

I have to get to school in Chicago. I have been stuck here in Utah for four weeks please help. Also do you know of any vehicle history sites that I can review for similar happenings with this car?

Thank you,
Ryan

A. I'm assuming they replaced all those parts because they were damaged by the overheating and not an attempt to cure the overheating. I sure as hell hope I'm right.

If not, they are checking the first thing they should have last. Before I sink $2000.00 worth of parts and labor in new heads, gaskets etc... I'd sure want to be sure that the cooling system is in good shape and the cooling fans are working properly. If they are, then I would go looking at the head gaskets and water pump as a possible cause.

At this point the radiator is about the only thing left to check, so I'm sure they will find it is clogged and needs to be rodded out or replaced.
