Ford Fiesta 1.8 Liter Diesel Q. I purchased a head gasket from a dealer for a 1992 Ford Fiesta 1.8 liter diesel, having requested a gasket with three teeth ID modeled on the old gasket and indicating a standard bore size. However the dealer gave me a three holed gasket indicating oversize bore. When I queried this he checked on his computer and replaced it with another three holed gasket of a thinner size.

His explanation being the thinner three holed gasket was equivalent to the earlier three toothed gasket. If this sounds confusing, its because I'm confused. I'm now afraid to fit this new gasket until I get a second opinion. Please can you help?

A. I wish I could help you on this one, but I have never seen a 1992 Ford Fiesta Diesel. They were never imported into this country and were only marketed in Europe.
