Cadillac Fleetwood A/C Repairs Q. Hello Vince, I have had my A/C repaired three times on my 1987 Cadillac Fleetwood in the past month. I need to know if the low side (ground) of the compressor clutch goes directly to ground or through some other (relay?) component. If I ground it (the anode side of the diode across the clutch) everything works fine.

I am nearly disappointed in two different reputable mechanics in my area. I have ordered a Chilton's for the car but it has been three weeks and still not received it. My library is too small to carry these manuals. I will really appreciate your help.

A. How about a wiring diagram? I think this will tell you what you need to know.
