Multiple Dodge Caravans Q. Hi! I have a 1989 Dodge Caravan with a 3.0 liter V-6 and a 1985 Dodge Caravan with a 2.6 liter 4-cylinder. The transmission in the 1989 is failing rapidly, and the engine in the 1985 is near death. How difficult would it be to install the 1989 V-6 into the 1985?

A. No, they won't fit. They have different bolt patterns. But to just double check me, call up a junk yard and check with them. They have interchange books that are much more detailed than mine.
