Prizm Grease Job

Q. Vince, I recently asked you your opinion on how much oil would be needed to fill a 2000 Chevy Prizm without over filling. I have one final question. Are there any chassis lubrication areas on this car and if there are, how many on each side. It seems that many of the new vehicles these days don't have the ability to lubricate the chassis. Thanks for your time.

Thanks,
Dave

A. You're right. In the last few years most front end parts are permanently lubricated and there is no provision for routine lubrication. When I do a Lube, oil and filter on a car without grease fittings, I still spray the bushings with CRC 5-56. That's about all you can do.

Most replacement front end parts do come with grease fittings so greasing them periodically is possible.
