Porsche 924 Wiring

Q. Help !!I have a friends 1982 Porsche 924 that I am trying to get back on the road after it had sat in a field for six years. All the mechanics have been completed but my problems are with the fuse box. Most of the wiring is intact ie the coloured multiblock connectors are in the right place but on the rear of the fuse box I have a number of pins that require single connections.

Porsche 924 Wiring

The first set numbered H1-7 I am presuming are all power supplies and the second set numbered G1-10 are all relating to circuits. Can you help with a simplified breakdown of what wires go to which pin on the fuse box. I hope you can help me in my quest in getting the Porsche 924 back on the road.

Regards,
Mark

A. Porsche wiring diagrams are difficult to read. I would post it here for you, but the file is so huge that it would take forever to download and impossible to print out. So I'm going to suggest taking a trip to your local public library and get the Porsche 924 repair manual. There are also books put out by Chilton and Mitchell that have nothing but wiring diagrams on all cars.

If this car uses the ceramic fuses, you may want to consider replacing the fuse box with a more reliable type. You can get universal fuse boxes at most larger auto parts stores.
