Toyota Tacoma Hissing At Him
Q. I have a 1998 Toyota Tacoma, 4.7 Liter, with 75,000. Shortly after getting underway, my engine begins to hiss, and then when the engine heats up it goes away. Any thoughts?
Thanks,
ScottA. Hissing usually means one of two things. A vacuum leak or there is a snake under the hood. I would have someone you don't like to open the hood in case it is a snake. If not, then I would look for a vacuum leak. From when you say it happens, I would look at the EGR system particularly careful.
