Chevy Blazer Jerks And Stutters

Q. Vincent, I have a 1996 Chevy Blazer 4.3 liter V-6 2WD with 150,000 miles on the engine. It has an automatic transmission, A/C, and I'm not sure of the steering. Here is my problem; at no particular speed or rpm I get a sharp jerk, or stutter. I'm quite sure it's not the transmission slipping, I would guess its related to the fuel injection or the Mass Air Flow sensor.

I have replaced the fuel filter, and replaced the entire distributor, but not the rotor. I have also replaced the plugs, and wires. This happens about five times on a 100 mile trip.

Thank you for your info. and for this service.
Sincerely,
Greg

A. I would suggest a road test with a good driveability tech to determine the root cause of your problem. It would save you a lot of guessing and expensive mis-diagnosis. You may have cracked a spark plug. Have it scanned also.
