Volkswagon Jetta Problem?

Q. My 1986 Volkswagon Jetta, 4 cylinder gas; 165,000 miles, typically runs great except when the trip last an hour or longer and I drive over 70 m.p.h. While investigating the problem, the following has been replaced: starter, ignition switch, and battery cable. The car has also had a minor tune up, and the battery is fine.

Volkswagon Jetta Problem?

Any ideas? I really like "Gray Ghost" since we've been together for 9 years, and she certainly fits into the budget of a graduate student. If you need more information, I can have my dad call the Keen.com number.

Thanks...

A. What's the problem???
