Brougham Is Dark
Q. Sir, I have an 1988 Cadillac Brougham that the interior lights and the electric locks quit working on. Also, the lights that come on around the exterior door locks don't work. All the fuses seem to be okay, but there are two black box looking things there. I don't know how to check them or what they are.
The cigarette lighter works, ( I use it to charge my phone), but the rear lighters don't work. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I am getting tired of hunting for a flash light to find anything in my car.

A. All the effected systems use the GA-TRANS 20 amp (yellow) fuse in the fuse box. Now they may look good, but the best way to test a fuse is with a test light. There should be power on both sides of the fuse. If not, it's gone.
