E-150 Needs Diagrams

Q. Hello Vincent, I have a 1979 Ford E150 van with a 351w with a 2 barrel carburetor and need a diagram for the vacuum lines that connect to the air cleaner assembly. The bottom of the assembly has two plastic disc shaped "thingees".

I've included a picture of them, each has two connection, one for a big tube, one for a smaller tube, and the air cleaner top has one metal disc shaped "thingee" that has two connections, each the same size.

The van ran fine after a tune-up but when I got it on the road and the engine got warm it ran rough and stalled. Wouldn't restart, blow smoke as I tried to restart, and could smell gas. Van started after engine got cold but ran rough, stalled and I could smell gas again. I'm assuming the vacuum lines got mixed up as I only replaced plugs, cap, rotor, wires and it ran perfectly until I ran it for about 12 miles. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Jim

A. I have vacuum diagrams, but there are so many different possibilities that it would be a toss-up which I should give you. The best thing to do is go to your public library and you can check out a Ford Service Manual that will have all the vacuum diagrams for all the different possibilities.
