Chevrolet Blazer Window Motor II
Q. I just wrote to you about the power window in the Chevrolet Blazer Power Window Motor not working. I found out it is intermittent. I just saw on the front page that someone is trying a class action suit against GM about this issue. My wife tells me the window works about 7 out of 10 times you start the vehicle and works once started.
Sometimes when you start it, it won't work at all. Sounds to me like a computer component. I did check the switch itself when the window was not working at all and the switch was sending 12 volts. Please advise. Am I up the creek without a paddle?

The power window motor needs power on one side and ground on the other in order for it to work. The switch is able to change polarity so you can raise and lower the window. You need to put a test light at the plug for the motor across the two terminals and make sure there is a light in the up and down positions. Also make sure the wires are not broken where they go through the rubber boot between the door and the body.I haven't heard of the class action suit you mentioned, but I will look into it.
