Chevy HEI Distributors Q. I have a 1954 Buick Convertible. I have a 1973 Chevy 350 built to 345 HP on the Dyno. 350 Turbo Holley 600CMF High Rise Manifold Power Brakes

I want to put a Chevy HEI distributors. I have three of them. Two are computer advance. One is vacuum advance. The one with vacuum advance is missing the module. The module in the others have a different connector on them. What module do I need as I do not have a computer on this car.

A. To make it simple, use the one with the vacuum advance. Get a new GM module for a 1976 - 1980 engine. This distributor has the big cap with the coil inside, right? You only need a hot wire hooked to it to make it fire. I don't trust aftermarket modules.
