Buick Stumbles And Hesitates

Q. Have a question about my car, 1995 Buick LeSabre, 101,000 miles. When driving along at a steady speed and then slowly accelerating to go up a hill, the car bucks and jerks, until I give it more gas. Then it evens out again. Have replaced the spark plugs, fuel filter, air filter and have put additives in the gas tank twice for cleaning the fuel injectors and taking care of any moisture that may be present.

This problem began about a week ago, and has not improved at all with the maintenance that has been done. Do you have any ideas about what to do next?

Thanks in advance for your help.
Shari

A. The additives you put in the gas tank to clean fuel injectors will not solve a problem. They are for maintenance, not repair and will not solve a dirty injector problem.

What I would suggest at this point is to have the computer scanned for any DTCs and see what they say. If there are no DTCs stored in the computer then the next thing to do is to have the throttle chamber cleaned. With the milage you have it's pretty well gummed up. This in itself will solve a lot of driveability problems. Then a good, professional, injector cleaning would be in order.
