Chevy Cavalier Weird Noise

Q. I have a 1997 Chevy Cavalier Z24. 2.4 liter, 4 speed automatic, ABS and around 66.500 miles. I have a strange noise that reminds me of an exhaust noise that is continuous once I go over 15 mph. The only time it cuts out is if I turn the car to the right or if I hit a bump. I took it to a muffler shop and they said the exhaust was perfectly fine. they also said the wheel bearing had "no give".

Chevy Cavalier Weird Noise

I just had the car repaired today due to a recall on the lower pinion bearing. the noise is still continuous. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

A. A bad front hub bearing would do this. They also usually change sounds when turning right of left at higher speeds. Just because it has no play doesn't mean it's not your noise. You can usually pick out which bearing on a lift in gear with a stethoscope.
