Windstar PCV Valve

Q. Hello!! Please help. I am trying to replace the PCV valve on my 1998 Ford Windstar, V-6 3.8 with 70,000 miles, automatic transmission. Where is the PCV valve? I was told (at the auto parts store) that it was on the passenger side on the back of the crank case. If that is so, there is no way I can change it.

I can't believe the manufacturer would put such an important piece where one could not get to easily.

Please help.
Thanks

A. They say one picture is worth 572 words, don't they? Here's a picture of where Ford Hid the PCV valve. Why they do things like this is beyond me.
