Steering Wheel Return
Q. Hi, I note in my car when I turn the steering wheel 90° for example, the steering wheel does not return, just it does a little bit and all the steering wheels that I know; they go back to its natural position but not in my car, so that's my question, what can be wrong with my car?
Bye and thanks.
A. I don't think there is anything wrong with your steering. There is really no provision in the steering system to return the steering wheel to the center position. When you turn the steering wheel left or right 90°, it will basically stay there.
When the car is moving, the suspensions caster setting will make the steering wheel return to center easier, but it won't do anything if the car is standing still.
