Pathfinder Cruise Control

Q. Hello Vincent, I own a 1992 Nissan Pathfinder SE-V6 3.0 liter, manual transmission, ABS, P/S, A/C, cruise control etc. I recently had some valves and a piston replaced in my engine and since then, the cruise control will not work. When I activate it, the first cruise control indicator lights up, but I am unable to set the cruising speed (the second green light that indicates the cruising speed is activated does not light up).

The question is, could they have left some engine sensor unconnected when the engine was put back on the SUV? The RPM gauge is working, I know that the cruise control will not work under 2,000 RPM. The ECU does not indicate any error code. Besides the cancel switches on the brake and clutch pedals or should I look somewhere else for the problem?

Thanks in advance,
Dimitri

A. Since this problem started when the work was done and (I'm assuming) the speedometer is operating correctly, then the chances of something being left unplugged or disconnected are pretty good.

Check the connector at the actuator and make sure it's plugged in. I'll bet that it isn't.
