Altima Radio Died

Q. Hi Vince, I have a 1994 Nissan Altima GLE, completely stock with AM/FM radio, Tape and CD Player. The radio portion of my stereo went out suddenly. The CD still worked, although I could not hear it because the radio portion was out. I pulled the radio out and removed the plug.

When I plugged it back in it worked sporadically. I noticed that anytime the battery is disconnected the radio will stop working unless I unplug it and then plug it back in. Thanks for any help/advice you might be able to give me.

Thanks,
Todd

A. You have a problem with the radio itself. There is not much you can do except to make sure the fuse in the back of the radio (if it has one) is good. Nissan used to have a radio exchange program where they installed a rebuilt unit in exchange for yours. The cost used to be around $95.00. I would check this out before considering a new radio.
