Maxima Alternator Replaced Q. We have changed the alternator in our 1998 Nissan Maxima. Now that we have everything together all the electrical stuff (wipers, windows, etc) will not work. Is there something that we need to reset? Thanks, Mary

A. There is nothing special that needs to be done when you replace that alternator. The two systems you mention, wipers and power windows, don't interact so somewhere, somehow you unplugged something and forgot to plug it back in, or accidentally unplugged something.

If everything is connected, I would check the fusible links for something burned out.
