Silverado Power Steering Sensor

A. I think you're talking about the Electronic Variable Orifice (EVO) sensor. It tells the P/S pump how fast you are turning the wheel and it's position. It's at the bottom of steering column. You need to lock the column so it can't turn or the air bag coil can break if the wheel turns. Remove the bolt from the intermediate shaft/column joint and slip the intermediate shaft off. The EVO sensor snaps onto the column housing. There is a plug that can be tough to get unplugged.
