Acura Vigor Clutch Problem

Q. My 1992 Acura Vigor, 5 speed manual, has developed a clutch problem. Over the past few weeks the point at which the clutch disengages has gotten closer to the floor and now it will not disengage completely and I can not shift gears because of it. If I put the car in gear before I start it, it immediately wants to move, even though I have the clutch pedal all the way to the floor.

Acura Vigor Clutch Problem

I have done a visual check and I can see no obvious problem. I even bled the clutch cylinder (it is a hydraulic clutch) but it made no difference. When the pedal is pushed in I can see the cylinder moving. The clutch does not soften as you hold it down so I don't think it's a leak (internal or external). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You,
Jeff

A. Sounds to me like it's time for a new clutch Jeff.
