Mazda Door Lock Q. Hi my name is Ryan and I own a 1990 Mazda 626. The front passenger door won't unlock when you unlock the drivers door. This only happens sometimes and it locks fine when you lock the drivers door it just sometimes won't unlock and sometimes the lock comes half the way up. What could the problem be?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A. That has a small electric motor to move the linkage to lock and unlock. It may be either the linkage is binding up or the motor itself is going bad.
