Chevy Astro Van Has A Miss
Q. Help! My problem started as a clogged fuel filter, which was changed at a mechanic shop. Still there was a miss and stalling problem, or sometimes had to start it several times, or it would not start right away.
I had a tune up done. Fuel filter, plugs, distributor cap and rotor, plug wires, air filter all changed. The water pump was also changed (old one leaky) Other then noisy lifter or tappet, they don't seem to know what to do now. I truly hope you can help.
Thanking you in advance. Have a good day.
Bill & CarolA. You got all the basics covered, so now you have to look in the electronics of the system.
You didn't mention the year of the vehicle, but regardless, you need to have it put on a scope to determine where the problem is exactly. The computer should be checked as well for any stored codes that would indicate a problem as well.
