A Little Sensor Problem?

Q. I have a 1996 Saturn SC2. The problems that I am having consist of the car loosing power at red lights and has even killed. When the engine does kill, it doesn't want to start til at least an hour later. Then, it will start like nothing happened.

I've had the car in a shop, which they put it to a computer, but nothing came up bad. I drove the car home with no problems and today, it almost kills again at a red light. My mechanic had told me that there is probably a problem with a sensor, but he wasn't sure where to start.

I was hoping that you can give me some insight on the sensor mystery. A neighbor had mentioned the throttle sensor, but could this possibly be a starting point? I do have a K-9 alarm on the car and I was wondering if this could be part of the problem instead.

Thank you in advance for you assistance.

A. Disable the alarm first to see if your problem goes away. If someone other than you put it in they may have created a bad connection somewhere by this installation so all connections made during install should be gone over to make sure. It also sounds like a possible ECM starting to quit on you or an ignition module.
